We are excited to announce the first annual L. Severson Charity Golf Classic benefiting the I.W.I.N. Foundation.  I.W.I.N. is an Indiana Foundation dedicated to helping women who are being treated for breast cancer.  They help with everyday tasks by providing personal services and support to any and all Indiana women who are going through breast cancer treatment.

In October of 2009, my wife, Leah, was diagnosed with breast cancer.  The cancer was detected early, thanks to a routine mammogram.  After surgery and treatment, we can look forward to a complete recovery and many years of Leah being a mom, wife and business owner.  We are blessed.  We caught the cancer early and the outcome is positive.

It is now our goal to raise awareness about the importance of mammograms and to help organizations that assist women with this terrible disease.

We are looking for support from local businesses and individuals to help fund this charitable event through sponsorships, donations, volunteering, contributing items towards door prizes, and fielding golf teams.

The format is a 4 man scramble golf event.  We will award prizes to the winning teams, along with other prizes.  We will be serving lunch before the event and after we will be hosting a relaxed cocktail reception to chat about the day and award prizes.  Please consider helping in any way you can.  If you have any questions or need anything, please contact me at todd@lseverson.com.  Thanks in advance for your support.

Welcome to the official site of the L. Severson Charity Golf Classic benefiting the I.W.I.N Foundation.

The 1st L. Severson Charity Classic will be held Friday September 24th at Woodwind Golf Club in Westfield, IN.

The proceeds from the outing will all go to the I.W.I.N Foundation. This great foundation helps out Indiana women who are going through breast cancer treatment.

My wife Leah and I have been involved in helping this great foundation for a few years. But it wasn’t until Leah experienced I.W.I.N first hand while going through treatment for breast cancer herself that we realized what a great foundation I.W.I.N is and moved us to help even more.
